Colored Earth and the Chamarel Falls, Mauritius
Located off the southeast of Africa, this is an island nation known as the Republic of Mauritius. The dormant undersea volcano that formed the archipelago is the one of which this place is a part. The thin waterfall that are the tallest in the world known as the Chamarel falls that fall from the height of about 300 ft. is one among the two wonders in Mauritius. The other wonder is the colored dunes that were discovered in the 1960s. The clay that is made of lava and that cools off at different times is the source of the formation of these colored dunes.
