L-Cysteine is used by number of commercial bread makers which is a softening agent that prolongs the life of dough shelf. Duck feathers and human hairs are used in producing this L-Cysteine that we consume in the form of bread. In a chemical process, human hairs are dissolved in an acid and then with other chemical process, the L-Cysteine is isolated form the mixture and used in the bread dough.
