In South Korea, among all the young couples, the holiday for Valentine’s Day is very popular. From February through April, the holiday variations are celebrated on monthly basis. On February 14th starts the gift exchange that includes candies, chocolates or flowers.

On 25th of January, Saint Dwynwen is celebrated by the Welsh instead of Valentine. Love spoon is a romantic gift traditionally exchanged on this day. In the 17th century, intricate wooden spoons were carved by the Welsh men and gifted to the women they had affection for.
