Massive, scary and terrifying crack has just been discovered in the Arizona Desert!
Arizona Geological Survey recently conducted a drone survey,and discovered a crack 2 miles long.
The crack extends deep into the Earth and is so huge that people standing next to it look like dwarfs.AZGS has for the first time used the drone footage to survey the fissures in that area.
- Usage of drone technology for the first time: The drone technology is still in early stage and will be used for examining fissures and other surface disasters namely landslides. The crack in the Arizona desert had developed gradually between March 2013 till December 2014 and is not sudden in formation. Heavy rains in autumn could have also resulted in its formation.
