Lemony asparagus pasta Recipe

Lemony asparagus pasta-Netmarkers


  • 1 c. grated Parmesan
  • 1 c. dry white wine
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • Extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 c. chopped parsley
  • Kosher salt
  • 1/2 red onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 lb. Macaroni
  • 2 lemons
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 bunch asparagus
  • 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes


  1. Take water in an 8 quart pot and boil it. Season it with salt. As per the instruction given on the packet, cook pasta. Drain pasta reserving one cup of water.
  2. Over medium high heat, preheat the pan. With olive oil, drizzle asparagus in a large mixing bowl and season it with pepper and salt. Grill asparagus form each side for about 2-4 minutes and then transfer it to board to cut into pieces.
  3. Cook onion, butter and garlic over medium-low heat in a large skillet for about 2 minutes. Add zest of 1 lemon, white wine, red pepper flakes, 1 tbsp lemon juice, ½ tbsp black pepper and 1 tbsp salt, simmer it for about 3-4 minutes and bring it to boil.
  4. Mix in asparagus, pasta water, cheese, pasta and parsley after tuning the heat off. Garnish it with the additional parsley and cheese and serve it with the lemon wedges.
