The Disability day history
In 1976, the decision has been made by the United Nations General Assembly that 1981 will be the International Year of the Disabled Persons and everything started since then. Contemplating different things such as how to equalize the opportunities of disabled, their hardships and how to ensure their full participation in the community life so that they also can enjoy the benefits and rights that the non-disabled people have spent the 5 years between the actual year of the disabled and the decision making. Later, the decade from 1983 to 1992 has been declared as the United Nations Decade of Disabled Persons. At that time, one extensive process included all the previously created concepts as well and was realized so as to improve the disabled person’s life all over the world.
