Is Acupuncture really beneficial or Just a Sham? Amazing facts!

In 1971 James Reston, a New York Times columnist had an operation for the removal of appendix in a China based hospital. He wrote an article about his experience in the hospital. He wrote that his post operative pain was controlled by a new therapy. This is called as acupuncture, which is a Chinese medical practice. This practice involved sticking of needles at specific locations on the skin and gently twisting of these needles. According to James Anderson, this technique worked in relieving his pain. His readers were fascinated by his article, and this new knowledge flew a wave of excitement in everyone. It was also believed that Chinese doctors used this practice to not only relieve post operative pains, but also as anesthesia for surgery.
