Uloboridae is the exception because the family members of this group does not contain venom glands. Venom gland reside near the fangs and the venom glands are connected to the fangs through the ducts. Spider venom paralyzes its prey.
- Spiders can not digest solid foods:
Spiders exudes the digestive enzymes from its sucking stomach onto its prey and when the enzymes break down the tissues of the victim then it sucks up the liquefied remains along with the digestive enzymes. So before eating its prey the spider has to turn the meal into the liquid form.
